HOLIDAY SHOPPING
The Junior League of Orange County’s holiday tradition The Christmas Company arrives this week. More than 90 vendors will set up shop Thursday through Sunday at the OC Fair and Event Center.
Items for sale include gourmet food; home decor and garden accessories; men’s, women and children’s clothing; jewelry; and gifts for all ages. General admission is $10, and proceeds are donated to local charities the Junior League supports.
PEARLS ON PARADE
Italian designer Lisa Broggian is presenting the Milano Collection at Mikimoto at South Coast Plaza today through Sunday. The pieces, which have never been seen in the U.S., include necklaces, pendants, earrings, rings and bracelets set in 18K yellow, rose or white gold with precious gem enhancements.
‘TWILIGHT’ STYLE
Want to look like Bella or Edward? Nordstrom is celebrating its partnership with the second film installment of the “Twilight” series, “New Moon,” with styling parties Saturday and Sunday.
Stylists will help customers create looks from Nordstrom’s “Twilight” line in the B.P. departments in their Brea, Irvine Spectrum, Mission Viejo and South Coast Plaza stores.
SWIM STYLE
It’s finally gotten a little cooler, but if you’re in the market for a swimsuit, you might want to consider Everything But Water’s Girls’ Night Out event on Thursday.
From 6-9 p.m. Thursday, the South Coast Plaza store will offer complimentary style and fit consultations, refreshments, giveaways, a gift with purchase and a swim wardrobe raffle. Call 714-540-8523 to RSVP.
BEAUTY BONANZA
Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza is opening early Saturday for its Holiday Cosmetics Trend Show, featuring the latest in makeup, skin care and fragrance. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., the show starts at 8 a.m. and appointments begin at 10 a.m.
Among the experts available during the show will be Giorgio Armani national makeup artist Keith Cavaleri and YSL national makeup artist Dell Ashley.
Tickets are $15 and redeemable in product. All guests will receive a gift, and samples and gifts with purchase will be offered. Ask a cosmetics counter associate at Nordstrom for more information and to buy tickets.
