With “Sex and the City,” the plot is almost secondary to the fashion. And just as fans want to know what happens to Carrie and Big in the second movie coming out next spring, we want to know what the gals of NYC are wearing in it.

Here are some answers.

First up, check out these Jee Vice sunglasses below that Carrie wears.

These shades called Heated are $140-$175, and the line is carried by Bloomingdale’s at Fashion Island. Click here to see a pic of Carrie in the orange version.

Now you may remember the darling Judith Leiber cupcake bag that Charlotte’s daughter Lily carries in the first movie, an accessory on which the plot arguably turns.

The queen of the evening bag lent another piece to the sequel. Samantha carries the wrap clutch seen below in black.

Made of crystal, the clutch is $3,995 and is available in the clear version pictured at the Judith Leiber boutique at South Coast Plaza. The store also has a silver anaconda version for $2,195.

Now, the folks at HBO are no dummies. They know how to market one of their most popular shows.

In time for the holidays, they’re offering these foldable “after party” shoes inspired by the four main SATC characters.

The silver one third from the left is called “Charlotte” and the light pink one on the right is “Carrie.” The “Miranda” is a purple style with a black, folded grosgrain ribbon bow, and the “Samantha” features a black-and-gold snake print with a black glass gem. Each pair is $64.99.

These are snazzy enough to be during-party shoes, too, if heels aren’t required.
